I've run across an interesting fact regarding fascia lately, and thought I'd share...
The half-life for fascia is 12 months. This means that all the fascia in the body is remodeled completely in a 24 month period, which is really powerful. You can fully rework the body into something completely different in a pretty short period of time, and the body adapts pretty quickly. In worst case scenarios, you can have the body fully remodeled in about 2 years. When one considers that some of my clients have been putting up with pain and discomfort for 20 years or more, the worst case scenario of 2 years to repair the body to neutral is pretty neat.
Again, this applies to some of the worst cases. Most folks have cases that are much shorter in duration, usually in the six to twelve hours of work range. Still... for those that feel there is no light at the end of the tunnel, it is nice to see an end somewhere on the horizon.
Cheers,
