New Year, New Happenings
Tuesday, 20 March 2012 15:21

Time always seems to escape me, and before I know it another month or three has slipped by.  It is hard to get everything done in a day or week, that I feel like I should get accomplished.  Maybe that is just one of life's little lessons.

So here is a belated update to happenings at Treatment Massage...

In January, I officially became a board certified structural integrator (BCSI).  This is a designation given to structural integrator (SI) practitioners after passing a qualifying exam that covers the gamut of the work of SI as well as a whole lot of ethics related material.  The goal of IASI (the International Association of Structural Integrators) is to create a standard for SI work so that the public have an easier time knowing who can do the work and meets that standard set forth... and that is what the certification board is doing.  I was informed that worldwide there were only a few thousand SI practitioners, and only around 500-600 are board certified.  Somehow I didn't think that there were so few of us around, and I find this a really sobering thought.  SI work is needed by the world, and there should be more practitioners available to help people.

February and March have been very much getting back to business.  The first of the new year is always a little slow to start as people are trying to recover from the holidays and insurance deductibles start over again... but now we are back to it and in full swing.  As such, it is time for me to make some more improvements to the web site and provide you with more information.  So here is what I have planned...

  • Improvements under-the-hood to the website, which will make things run smoother and better.
  • Email lists will hopefully get added.  There will be a general information one, and one to be notified of open spots.  The later will be useful for those of you who like to pop in for a tune up, but generally don't know your own availability until the day of.
  • More information on SI (structural integration), and how that work dovetails with pain relief and injury rehabilitation.

And there may be some other changes afoot that I can't think of at the moment.  But please note that I'll get another note up on the blog before any major change occurs.  This is especially true since I'm not sure if the RSS feed will continue working on not with the new website framework.  I'll keep you posted.

In the meantime, stay healthy.

Cheers,
