What to Bring
Please print, fill out, and bring the completed Health Intake Form with you. You can download the Health Intake form here. By bringing a completed Health Intake form, more time is saved for the hands-on work.
Payment is due at the time of service. The cost is $150 per hour for Structural Integration and $100 per hour for Craniosacral Therapy. The credit card you entered online to hold your appointment will not be charged for your appointment. Please bring one of the following accepted forms of payment with you: Cash, Credit Card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover), Apple Pay, or Google Pay. You can use an HSA or FSA card if you have one. Mark does not provide direct billing of any insurance, but upon request he does provide paperwork for you to submit to your insurance company for direct reimbursement.
If you are coming for a Structural Integration bodywork session, please bring some underwear that you will be comfortable working in. Through your appointment, Mark will be assessing your posture and the state of your tissue. During the hands-on work, you will be lying or sitting on the massage table, and possibly standing or moving. As such, a top sheet for coverage/draping is not used, and the work is provided with you in your underwear. Working in underwear allows for: constant assessment of the body’s structure and restrictive pattern throughout the session, better access to work on larger segments of your body at the same time which increases efficiency and productivity, the ability to have you move a body part while Mark is working in the tissue, and working on skin allows him to work more sensitively. For women - bras with fewer straps are easier to work with in the session, and bras are optional.
If you are coming for a Craniosacral Therapy session, please wear some loose soft clothing. Through the hands-on work of your appointment, you will remain fully clothed and lying on the massage table. Mark will feel through the fabric of the clothing, so having soft clothing makes it easier for him to work.
What to expect for your first appointment
Each session starts by checking in with you about your body and your experience of it. For Structural Integration clients, a visual assessment of your posture (and movement) is done, which informs Mark of how and where your body is stuck, condensed, or restricted. For Craniosacral Therapy clients, a visual assessment of posture is not typically needed.
For both Structural Integration clients and Craniosacral Therapy clients, observations are followed up with hands-on assessment of the tissue, which leads directly into the work.
After the hands-on work, there is discussion about the session and what was observed in the tissue and body. Mark typically provide some suggestions for self-care to keep your progress moving forward between appointments.
Visitors to the University Business Center are eligible for one hour of free parking in the lot adjacent to the building on the north side. There is an open lot and a parking garage, entered from 47th. (By the corner of 9th and 47th.)
Qualified stalls are in the lot in front of “Academy for Precision Learning (APL)", or the top two levels of the parking structure, P2 & P3, in any unrestricted stall. (The basement level is for Trader Joe’s parking only.)
To register for the hour of free parking go to the pay station (next to stall #73) and follow the instructions below.
For One Hour of Free Parking:
1. Press any button to turn on machine
2. Enter your license plate number
3. Press “OK”
4. Select option “5) More Selections…”
5. On the second screen select option “1) Biz Ctr - 1 hour free”
6. Enter validation number (4500)
7. Remove receipt from machine (Put it on your dash)
Parking for those with a disability
For those with a Washington State Disabled Parking Privilege plate or placard, parking is available in the lot directly across the street (on 9th Ave NE), in any of the handicapped stalls. Parking is free with plate or placard displayed.
Finding Mark's office from the street
Mark's office is located within The University Business Center at:
The entrance to The University Business Center is to the left of the AMC Cinema entrance, where you will see a set of glass doors with an elevator inside. Take the elevator up to the third floor. Directly in front of you when you step out of the elevator is a security door, with the reception desk beyond it. Mark's office is number 58, which is located through the security door, down the first hallway on the left, and is the first office suite on the left.
Canceling, Rescheduling, and No-shows
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment: Mark requires twenty-four hours advance notice for appointments 60 and 90 minute in length, and forty-eight hours advance notice for appointments 2 hours or longer in length. Failure to do so will result in fees due for the full scheduled session time.
Failure to show for a scheduled appointment will result in fees due for the full scheduled session time.
Payment Refund Policy
Payment will only be refunded for pre-paid appointments that are canceled with enough notice as per the Canceling, Rescheduling, and No-Show Policies. If payment needs to be refunded, any fees related to the processing of the transactions will be deducted from the total amount refunded.
